culater | A Japanese Expat Living in Korea

I was born in Niigata, Japan, and am now a Japanese resident living in Korea. I’ve led a somewhat unique life so far.

After starting my career as a programmer, I moved to Korea and ended up living here for 20 years. Immersed in a different culture, I’ve gained a wide range of experiences.

In 2013, I temporarily returned to Japan and founded my own company. After running the business for 10 years, I have now returned to Korea once again.

My hobbies are photography and programming. I mainly enjoy landscape photography, but programming is just as absorbing—I can easily lose track of time while working on it. In fact, my passion for programming led me to develop business systems and stock trading programs using ASPX.NET C#. Currently, I am in the process of migrating those systems to Laravel, once again completely immersed in the work. After the migration, operating costs will decrease and security will improve—perhaps this is what it truly means to combine passion with practicality.

My current goal is to reduce my weight and cholesterol levels to a healthy range. I hope to manage my health as enjoyably and consistently as I do programming!
