Back at Inwangsan for a time-lapse revenge shoot!
Having a mountain nearby that I can easily climb is truly something to be grateful for. Being able to step away from the busyness of work and daily life to refresh myself in nature, right in my own neighborhood, feels like a true luxury.
I recently revisited such a familiar spot: Inwangsan Mountain. To be honest, my previous attempt at a time-lapse here was interrupted halfway through. While I was able to help someone out during that time, I still felt a strong sense of unfinished business, so I decided to return.
My goal for this shoot was to capture a time-lapse starting from about two hours before sunset, as the sky begins its subtle transformation, through to the lingering glow after the sun has gone down. I wanted to carefully capture the transition up until about 40 minutes after sunset. The shifting light during these moments is truly beautiful and ethereal.
The clouds drift by, the sky begins to color, and eventually, it turns from blue to purple, then into the deep night. Capturing such scenery on camera is a joy. I believe I was able to firmly record those beautiful moments this time around.
I’d like to climb again soon, aiming for an even more perfect time-lapse.
