Yet, I only just discovered that you can actually send and receive Naver emails through external apps.<\/p>\n<p>When I first created my account, I tried setting it up in a mail app, but ran into an error, so I assumed it wasn\u2019t possible. Turns out, it was a simple oversight\u2014I just hadn\u2019t enabled the necessary permission in the settings.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to set up Naver Mail for external apps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to Naver Mail<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201c\ud658\uacbd\uc124\uc815\u201d (Settings) in the left-hand menu<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cPOP3\/IMAP \uc124\uc815\u201d in the top menu<\/li>\n<li>Open either \u201cIMAP\/SMTP\uc124\uc815\u201d or \u201cPOP3\/SMTP\uc124\uc815\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Check \u201c\uc0ac\uc6a9\ud568\u201d under \u201cPOP3\/SMTP \uc0ac\uc6a9\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201c\uc800\uc7a5\u201d (Save)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you\u2019re planning to start using Naver, this should come in handy!<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%; max-width: 700px;\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/naver_mail.jpg\" \/><\/center> <\/p>\n<div style=\"height:4em;\"><\/div>\n<hr>\n<div style=\"height:4em;\"><\/div>\n<p>Since June 24, 2025, two-factor authentication has been required to use Naver Mail. \u203bYou\u2019ll need a smartphone to set this up.<\/p>\n<p>To enable it, click your Naver ID at the top right of the Naver homepage, then go to &#8216;<b>\ubcf4\uc548\uc124\uc815 > 2\ub2e8\uacc4 \uc778\uc99d<\/b>&#8216; and click &#8216;<b>\uc124\uc815<\/b>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>For detailed instructions, check out this page:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/help.naver.com\/service\/5640\/contents\/19238?osType=PC&#038;lang=ko<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:6em;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It feels like almost everyone in Korea uses Naver, given how many users it has.
