{"id":3159,"date":"2026-05-27T18:42:42","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T09:42:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.itaba.com\/?p=3159"},"modified":"2026-05-27T18:42:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T09:42:42","slug":"wearealltryinghere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.itaba.com\/en\/blog\/wearealltryinghere\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean Drama \u201cEveryone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness\u201d Review | The Best Drama of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/202604201019102004.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<div style=\"height:2em;\"><\/div>\n<p>The Korean drama \u201cEveryone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness\u201d began airing on April 18, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The reason I started watching this series was simple: it starred Koo Kyo-hwan and Go Yoon-jung together.<\/p>\n<p>Hwang Dong-man, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, is the only member of the \u201cGroup of Eight\u201d who has yet to succeed as a film director.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Byun Yuna, played by Go Yoon-jung, is a PD who tries to understand him.<\/p>\n<p>This drama carefully explores the question:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do people continue fighting against their own sense of worthlessness?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It approaches this theme through the perspectives of each character.<\/p>\n<p>Honestly, episodes 1 and 2 feel a bit heavy and can be difficult to get into.<br \/>\nBut around episode 3, I found myself completely drawn into the story.<\/p>\n<p>A reality that never works out.<br \/>\nAn inferiority complex that never disappears.<br \/>\nJealousy and anxiety.<\/p>\n<p>Dong-man is definitely not a \u201cgood person.\u201d<br \/>\nThere are many moments where he hurts the people around him.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, this drama never simply condemns the ugly sides of human nature.<\/p>\n<p>People who try to understand each other.<br \/>\nRelationships that cannot fully let go.<br \/>\nThe emotional distance between the characters felt incredibly real.<\/p>\n<p>The screenplay was written by Park Hae-young.<\/p>\n<p>If you loved \u201cMy Mister\u201d or \u201cMy Liberation Notes,\u201d this drama will almost certainly resonate with you.<\/p>\n<p>I would also strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dramas like \u201cMisaeng,\u201d which focus deeply on human nature itself.<\/p>\n<p>Now that I\u2019ve finished the final episode, the sense of loss is overwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, there were several storylines that felt unresolved, such as Dong-man\u2019s relationship with his brother\u2019s daughter and Yuna\u2019s relationship with her biological mother.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps that was unavoidable within a 12-episode format, but it also made me wish the series had lasted longer.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a flashy drama.<br \/>\nBut after finishing it, the emotions quietly stay with you.<\/p>\n<p>That is the kind of drama it was.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:3em;\"><\/div>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20260410_095049_2190.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:100%;max-width:700px;\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<div style=\"height:6em;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Korean drama \u201cEveryone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness\u201d began airing on April 18, 2026.
